I was always treated with dignity and respect. The staff took their work seriously, and if we were willing to do the work, they were there to provide all the help and support we needed to facilitate change. I liked that it wasn't a one size fits all approach. Different clients had different issues, and different needs. Trying to do all that on my own was overwhelming, but they never made me feel like I was alone in my struggle. The alumni meetings, and continued outreach was especially important to me. I still know I have support there, even all this time later.

I late 1999, after many unsuccessful treatment stays in other facilities, I walked through the front door at Promises, Malibu a very sick and hopeless man, but I left a new person. The clinicians, techs and administrators were courteous, helpful and empathetic from my first day. Therefore, for their helping hands I will always be thankful!

People shouldn't review places they have never been. I went there 5 years ago and I love it. It was exactly what I needed. Afterwards I did go to 12 step meetings and they were all for it. I hardly ever remembering hearing the word "cured." They use the definition of cured as being restored to health.

I have had the opportunity to work directly with Chris who is an exceptional, positive, empathetic, and a highly emotionally intelligent human being. Every time I work with Chris and Passages, I attain a greater sense of humanity and compassion. It is great knowing that Passages knows that there greatest asset are their people! I guess he will be back then. also it's obvious that the last 2 reviews are stage are scripted, and came from no real addict or anybody who went to that rehab. oh yeah keep coming back it squirts if you jerk it. But seriously my experience there was awesome I've got some of the best blowjobs from that place it's unbelievable how fast women will go down on you when they can't have drugs

Passages Malibu is a state of the art drug treatment facility with professional, friendly and helpful staff. Their treatment program really helps, really impressed by the quality of services they offer. Anyone out there looking to go 'sober', this is the 'must visit' facility.

Passages Malibu is great to me :) Actually it was outstanding experience with Passages. They didn’t leave any opportunity to make me better. I love their drug and alcohol addictions program and especially such a friendly, helpful and open-minded staff they are.

After 8 years almost clean and sober, Promises is still like a second home to me when I go to visit. I will always be so grateful for the amazing care I received there. They have a great Alumni program that enables people to stay connected. I have made lifelong friends through my stays at " the rock".

My experience at promises was one i will never forget. I have tried to get clean and sober many times before and never have i entered a program as educational and supportive as promises. I was able to surround myself with loving caring staff members that walked me through detox comfortably and were there 24 hours a day for the following process of uncovering and dealing with the underlying issues that helped fuel my disease. i was able to attend twelve step meetings daily and begin meeting and getting to know people in the program in several different areas of los angeles and malibu. The facility was top notch and staff was more than accommodating to each individuals' needs. I enjoyed the different educational groups along with the intense personal and family work that was done at my pace. I appreciated their ability to create a program unique to mine and my families needs. i experienced treatment in a different way than i ever had before. I am grateful for the opportunity to receive the tools necessary to not only maintain sobriety but to live a life happier than i ever thought possible. After finishing my time in the first phase of residential i decided to stay for extended care program which was a great transition tool for me with the continued support of the facility and staff. Before leaving treatment my treatment team helped me put together a detailed discharge plan that helped me transition back into the world with ease. They helped me find different places to live, different doctors to see, and all of my daily plans were set before i even stepped out the gate. I appreciate all of the time dedicated by each and every person i came into contact with. I know i cant do this alone and Promises makes sure that i never have to ever again. They have shown me a new way to live clean and sober. I would send anyone i love and care about to promises because i know that they would be well taken care of and given the tools and opportunities necessary to save their lives. I can now walk through life a different way and for that i am eternally grateful.

Going to Promises treatment center was one of the most sound investments I have ever made. Since attending Promises nearly four years ago, I have not only been able to re-establish the relationships that I had damaged from years of active addiction, I was also able to start a new, fulfilling life, a life with meaning and purpose that I had been searching for since I was a child. The level of care that I received at Promises was second to none. The staff is caring and professional and the level of care is consistent which is incredibly important in a treatment center. Also, the Promises alumni community is absolutely amazing. Having a built in foundation of recovery after leaving Promises has been absolutely amazing. I know that if I am having a tough week that every Wednesday night I can go to the alumni meeting and receive all the support and understanding that I need from other Promises alumni. I would highly recommend Promises!

Therapists are the key to this program. They are experienced in the latests information about addiciton and recovery. The staff is courteous and does their best to accomodate your needs, while still imposing a strict schedule for maximum results. The accomodations are very comfortable and the food is top notch for any facility feeding multiple persons. The program here encourages one to rely upon group interaction and constantly pushes one to take an honest look at themselves to really find out what is underneath the symptoms of alcoholism and addiction. One will get out of it as much as they put into it. I was able to learn quite a bit of new information and also able reinforce things that I was trying to accept about myself.
