I have not been a client at Riviera but I have a number of friends who have and they love it. They’ve told me they appreciate the structure the openness of the community. They belong to a cool gym, close to AA meetings. They have a softball team with great sweatshirts. After I decided not to go and instead move into an apartment I wish I decided to go to Riviera.

I have been working in the field for many years. My relationship with Jose Hernandez, owner of Riviera Recovery, is not only professional but also as a family member who referred a loved one to Riviera Recovery for continued care. What Jose Hernandez and the staff at Riviera have done for my family is beyond measure. They welcomed my cousin with open arms, lent him hope till he developed his own, believed in him till he could believe in himself, and encouraged him to become the man we always knew he could be. Today my cousin is thriving with a zest for life and recovery. My gratitude for Jose and Riviera Recovery is endless; they are top notch!

Really impressed with how well my friend has done at Riviera. The staff is so compassionate and eager to keep clients on track and accountable with love and compassion. The owner is a Malibu local that connects clients with local jobs and mentors. It’s a recipe for success. I’m grateful that the treatment center he attended referred us to Riviera. He’s thriving there!

I am extremely grateful to have a solid sober living close to our facility that I have come to trust and rely on. The transition process with Riviera and their team is always easy and the communication is great. I can personally speak to the owners (Jose) character, as I have spent an ample amount of time getting to know him personally over the last few years. I don’t think you will find a facility in our area where the owner is as involved as he is. It means so much to me to see that considering the fact that he doesn’t have to be. Jose’s passion to help people get back on their feet and excel, trickles down to the rest of the staff, and most importantly the clients, which as a result has created an environment that feels very safe and homey. I would feel comfortable sending my family member to Riviera- that is something I can’t say for many in an area where there are plenty of other recovery programs. If you have interest in them, I would definitely say to go and check the place out and take a walk through the house. Meet the team. Talk to a resident that has been there for a while. I imagine you will leave there saying to yourself or you’re loved one that you’re ready to do the deal and this is the place you want to be.

After several years of trying to help our family member, we began to feel like hope was lost. No rehab, no meetings, no groups, no coaches...nothing was working. The days were sad and filled with despair and fear. Now, FINALLY, since beginning at Riviera we are seeing his soul return. His smile, his zest for life, his compassion, his kindness, his SELF. We truly never thought the day would come. The team, the beliefs, the method, the love and the surroundings are all far more than we ever dreamed...but they have returned life where there was none. As far as I have seen, there is no option other than Riviera Recovery.

Was a solid sober living. Everyone was very welcoming since I stepped in the door, which was a sigh of relief for me since I'm not the best at transitioning to the next step in my life. The staff that I lived with were all great people, and knew how to handle situations that would arise in a professional manner. RIVIERA helped me plan the next few steps to take in my life and I can't thank them enough. I had a couple different options, when I was at this point in my life, to go to and I'm so grateful that I chose the one I did. Great community. Great staff. Great place to live!

Jose and his team are phenomenal! I have collaborated with them several times and their commitment to client care is outstanding! There is a great sense of community among the clients as well as the staff which is so important in the recovery process. Keep up the amazing work Jose!!

Currently a client. I’ve managed to obtain 13 months of sobriety thanks to the caring and love of the staff. This is a safe place to get your life back on track. There is a good mix of accountable and freedom to prepare you for life back on the outside. The community aspect is priceless, it’s like a family. Staff genuinely cares and encourages forward momentum in life. Having been at a few other sober livings in Malibu my personal experience shows this is the place to root yourself in recovery.

Our son lived at Rivera Recovery's Zumirez House after treatment. We are an east coast family and had no idea what to do so we asked his treatment team for recommendations. Working in the industry, I can definitely say that Riviera really tries to go above and beyond in client care. They are in constant communication with treatment teams and work to create the best plan possible to help their clients move forward.

I have been staying at the Riviera Sober Living for 2 months, I have stayed at a few sober livings before but none as great as the Riviera. The community is filled with love and caring. The staff is so professional and want and help you in your recovery. You really want to become a better person. when you are ready to leave you feel that you will be safe and successful intergrating into the real world. The Riviera sober living is not just a business for Jose, the owner of the Riviera, he truly cares for his clients. You can find him at the house many times of the day sitting down with clients making sure they are feeling happy and safe. Trust me to say if you or your loved one is looking for a caring, loving and safe environment to live at , Riviera is the place to stay.

Riviera recovery will welcome you with open arms of supportive staff and residents. It's a safe haven on a beautiful property. The multiple outdoor areas from the cabana, pool, patios and pathways provided excellent places to socialize or get away. The staff is attentive, in a genuine and compassionate way. Jose and Paul, who took over ownership of the house 3 years ago, help set and fulfill personal goals that instill confidence and independence. They fill your schedule with empowering activities, insightful sessions and productive personal projects to create long-term success for a happy sober life.
